Future Dialog was a SaaS citizen-engagement platform built at BIND and Altos Engineering to give local government a direct, owned line to its residents — away from the noise and ranking algorithms of social media. A single SaaS core powered distinct, branded iOS and Android apps plus a web admin dashboard for municipalities across Estonia, Finland and Sweden.
One core, many branded channels
The platform served Estonian municipalities (Elva, Hiiumaa, Järva), more than ten Finnish municipalities and clients in Sweden. A cards-based publishing model, automated RSS ingestion and GPS-targeted push notifications let staff reach exactly the right neighbourhood without manual content entry — and a localization architecture carried three countries’ worth of branded apps from one codebase.
Real-time survey dashboards turned one-way announcements into genuine two-way dialogue — governments replaced fragmented social channels with a line they controlled.
