Business-management platform
NEXT was a bespoke PHP business-management platform built at CMA / Landmark Software — server-rendered pages, a hand-rolled framework, intranet comms, time and resource planning, CRM and file management. That codebase is the direct ancestor of Scoro, today a globally recognized Professional Services Automation SaaS.
Evolve, don’t rewrite
The platform grew into a full PSA suite — quoting, resource forecasting, invoicing, an AI assistant (ELI) and 50+ integrations — modernized incrementally with a micro-frontend strategy that embedded Vue.js components inside the PHP monolith rather than betting the company on a big-bang rewrite.
The pragmatic choice to evolve rather than rewrite let the company ship continuously while scaling to $20M+ ARR and repeated Deloitte Fast 50 recognition.
